All architectural, planning and design services offered by Solvers Architecture are subject to a separate written appointment, fee proposal, quotation, scope document or other written agreement. No design work, planning package, consultancy support, measured information, visualisation output or advisory service shall be treated as formally commissioned unless confirmed in writing by us.
Project scopes may include concept design, planning drawings, planning application support, new build design, residential architecture, commercial architecture, building regulations information, developer packages, heritage-related support and visualisation services. The exact deliverables, exclusions, assumptions, timeline and fee basis for a project will always depend on the agreed written scope.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and timely information about the site, ownership, boundaries, planning history, existing drawings, consultant information and intended project objectives. Delays or inaccuracies in information provided by the client may affect timescales, planning strategy, design quality and project outcomes.
Clients are also responsible for reviewing documents promptly, confirming instructions clearly, appointing other consultants where required and obtaining independent legal, structural, cost, party wall, fire or specialist advice where appropriate to the project unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Planning and Statutory Approvals
Solvers Architecture can assist with planning strategy, pre-application material, planning drawings and design-led submissions. However, planning decisions are made by local planning authorities and other statutory bodies. Planning permission, prior approval, lawful development certificates, listed building consent, building regulations approval or any other statutory outcome can never be guaranteed.
We support the preparation and coordination of information within the agreed scope, but final decisions remain with the relevant authority, consultant or approval body.
Fees, Payments and Variations
Fees, inclusions and exclusions are agreed in writing. Statutory fees, consultant fees, surveys, specialist reports, printing costs and third-party disbursements are excluded unless specifically stated otherwise. If the brief changes, additional revisions are requested, the scope expands or work is paused and resumed later, we may issue a revised fee or variation.
Intellectual Property
All copyright, design rights, concepts, drawings, visual material, branding, layouts, text and other content on this website or produced by Solvers Architecture remain our intellectual property unless a separate written assignment states otherwise. Clients receive a non-exclusive licence to use project information for the agreed site and purpose only, subject to payment of all fees.
